On Friday, September 18, 2009 Prince, teamed with C3TS for design services, was announced as the winning bidder for the SR 50 Design-Build contract with a proposal price of $16,857,750.00 and proposed contract time of 600 days. The following Tuesday Prince, teamed with PBS&J for design services, again was announced as the winning bidder for the SR 25 (US 27) Design-Build contract with a proposal price of $19,825,827.00 and proposed contract time of 700 days. Both of these projects are being funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The award of these two Design-Build projects is viewed as a landmark event by Prince. Both of these innovatively procured projects accomplish Prince’s goal of diversifying the types of contracts Prince pursues. For Prince, these are the first steps toward becoming a leading Design-Builder and developer of Public Private Partnerships.
