Vice President Visits Prince Jobsite For Immediate Release Contact: Mike White Phone: 813-699-5886 www.prince-sdc.com
Prince
Clermont, Fla., March, 1, 2010- Vice President Joe Biden visited Prince’s US 27 jobsite on March 1, 2010 to discuss the success and economic impact of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act of 2009. Biden, along with Senator Bill Nelson, D-Fla., and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood showed their support for federally funded road widening project in Clermont, Florida and projects like it across America. Speaking to a crowd seated on concrete pipes, Biden explained how ARRA transportation and infrastructure projects are improving communities, easing travel, and creating jobs.
"More shovels are going to be going into the ground this spring and this summer than any time last year," Biden said to an audience of roughly two dozen Prince employees, adding that in Florida it "means 15,000 guys wearing hard hats and engineers and surveyors, people who are able to make a decent wage and raise a family on, are going to be put to work."
Biden acknowledged the American people’s frustration with high unemployment rates and the overall slow pace of economy recovery, but explained that federal stimulus spending has been beneficial in creating or saving 2 million jobs throughout the country. He also added that more jobs will be created as transportation projects, funded through ARRA continue to, commence.
"When you lose 8 million jobs in this Great Recession and you keep it from being 10 (million), that's no solace to the 8 million who don't have a job, man," Biden said. "We have to make this work. Too many people are in trouble in this country."
The widening of US 27 is a $19.8 million project that will employ between 20 to 50 Prince personnel at different stages. Not only has it saved Prince jobs, approximately 60 percent of the Recovery Act funds for the project will be used locally to hire subcontractors and buy materials, helping to further stimulate the economy and put even more Floridians to work.
Business Development Manager, Mike White, was honored to have one of Prince’s projects selected by the Vice President and the U.S. Department of Transportation as a prime example of how the stimulus is working.
“We are proud to be able to generate economic activity and create job opportunities within the communities we working,” said White.

Prince Lends a Hand in Haiti
For Immediate Release Contact: Mike White Phone: 813-699-5886 www.prince-sdc.com
Prince
Tampa, Fla., January 27, 2010 – Prince Contracting, LLC, a civil construction firm based in Tampa, Florida, donated the use of its plane to carry much-needed food and supplies to a church and school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Food and medical supplies that had been collected by Agape Flights, a Christian ministry organization based in Venice, Florida, were loaded aboard Prince’s plane and distributed to their associates in Port-au-Prince. Rice, bottled water, and high protein dietary supplements made up the bulk of the shipment that was delivered to a group of missionaries who are operating an elementary school and church, which was severely damaged in the earthquake. The supplies will be used to feed the children and families of the church who have lost their parents or homes in the tragedy.
Prince’s flight was also able to get Nikki Stolberg, a student volunteering with Children of Promise, back to the orphanage where she works in Cap-Haitien on the northern coast of Haiti. Stolberg brought four orphans to new homes in Florida the previous day and was able to get back the next day because of the donation of Prince.
Prince and its employees understand that their donations and efforts are humble in relation to the enormous need that exists in Haiti, but that their humanitarian efforts were significant to those receiving them.
